Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame Day 1

The Youth Olympic Flame had arrived in Singapore after travelling through Berlin, Dakar, Mexico City, Auckland and Seoul. In March 2009, the International Olympics Committee decided that torch relays for all future Olympic Games will be held within the host city. An exception was made Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (SYOG)!

The torch relay for Day 1 of the Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame (JYOF) was held within the Central Singapore District, covering places like Ang Mo Kio and Bishan.

I helped Samuel, a friend I made via the MillionDeedsChallenge portal, to video his historic moment. I also helped Sin Yan, my fellow SSEAYP

Mambo is fun. Mambo with local community song is more fun!

The SSEAYP Singapore 2010 Contingent learnt how to do Mambo dance to the tune of Singapore Town.

North East Celebrates! 2010 Youth Olympic Games @ BNSS

Set up a Publicity Booth for North East Celebrates! 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) at Bedok North Secondary School canteen to promote the youth event to students during their recess time.

The event would see 17 Youth Executive Committees (YECs) of the Community Clubs within the North East District come together for a live telecast of the Official Opening Ceremony of the YOG.

Response for the tickets was overwhelming. Guess no one wants to miss this historic moment.

Also took time to enjoy patronising the canteen stalls. Yummy and healthy to the pocket!

3rd Weekday Pre-Departure Training

After the "founding" of our 10/12 Brotherhood (12 males in the SSEAYP 2010 Singapore Contingent), someone suggested for us to come in our white shirts and suits. I wonder who that is, but that was a quirky idea that saw us overdressing at the outskirts of Speakers Corner. What's more... We were doing our cultural practice...

Our National Leader also announced our appointed Youth Leader (Zatan) and Assistant Youth Leader (Yuhua).
